InkFrog Shuts Down June 2026: What eBay Sellers Must Do Now
InkFrog, the eBay listing and inventory management platform owned by Wix, is planning to shut down on June 1 2026, according to emails received by multiple users on April 29. The company has not yet made a public announcement, but the emails outline a clear shutdown timeline that gives sellers just over a month to export their data and find alternative solutions.
What the Email Says
Users who received the email report that InkFrog confirmed the shutdown effective June 1 2026, with a May 31 deadline to export listing data in CSV format directly from the account dashboard. The email stated that sellers can continue using InkFrog normally until the closure date, and that refunds for any unused days remaining in billing cycles will be processed automatically once the service fully closes, calculated on a daily basis and returned to the original payment method.
The company directed users to its help page at inkfrog.com/help for contact information and additional questions. Requests for comment from both InkFrog and Wix had not received a response at the time of publishing.
About InkFrog
InkFrog was founded in 1999 by Greg Sisung, with Tomas Salas joining as Chief Product and Technology Officer in 2006 and helping to build the platform's integrations with eBay, Amazon, Shopify, and BigCommerce. The platform became a popular choice for eBay sellers managing large catalogues and multi-channel listings, offering tools for listing creation, inventory management, and order processing in a single interface.
Wix acquired InkFrog in 2020, where it continued to operate as part of the larger Wix Ecommerce platform. The shutdown represents a significant change for the community of eBay sellers who have relied on the platform for their day-to-day operations, many of whom have used it for years and will now need to migrate their data and workflows to alternative tools within a tight timeframe.
What eBay Sellers Need to Do Immediately
If you are an InkFrog user, the most urgent priority is to export your listing data before the May 31 deadline. Log into your InkFrog account and navigate to the export function in your account dashboard to download your listing data in CSV format. Do not leave this until the last minute, as any data remaining on the platform after May 31 will no longer be accessible once the service closes on June 1.
Beyond the data export, sellers will need to identify and migrate to an alternative listing and inventory management solution before the shutdown date. The timeline is tight, and given the complexity of migrating listing catalogues, pricing data, and inventory information to a new platform, starting that process as soon as possible is strongly advisable.
What to Look For in an Alternative Platform
For sellers evaluating alternatives, the key considerations are whether the platform supports the same marketplace integrations InkFrog provided, how smoothly it can import data from a CSV export, and how the pricing and feature set compare to what you were using InkFrog for. Platforms worth evaluating include Linnworks, Marketplace Connect, and Rithum among others, depending on the scale of your operation and the channels you sell across.
The sudden nature of the shutdown, with just over a month's notice for a platform that has been running since 1999, is a reminder of the operational risk that comes with depending on a single third-party tool for critical business functions. Sellers who have been considering diversifying their technology stack or building more resilient operational systems now have an urgent and concrete reason to act.
